Posted on November 1, 2021 by admin

Hello, viewers! Every time we hear the word “inflammation”, we immediately think that something is wrong. But did you know that inflammation is also a sign that your body is healing? This is a natural way for your body to protect itself when it is injured or gets sick. The problem is when the inflammation lasts for a long time. Chronic inflammation can lead to serious health problems such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. In today’s article we will talk about foods that cause inflammation. Why sugar tops our list; What makes high fructose corn syrup bad for you? What about artificial trans fats and vegetable oils? We will discuss all of this and more.

Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup When it comes to the Western diet, table sugar, also known as sucrose, and high fructose corn syrup (HFCs) are the two main types of sugar we consume. Table sugar has equal parts of glucose and fructose. HFCs, on the other hand, have 55% fructose and residual glucose. We have all heard about the harmful effects of added sugar. Unlike natural sugars in food, added sugar is bad for your health. This is because it can cause inflammation in your body. This inflammation can lead to chronic and harmful diseases. The results of the study showed that a diet rich in sucrose increased the risk of breast cancer. Over time, it can also spread to the lungs.

The inflammatory properties of sugar were partly responsible for this development. The same goes for fructose. A small amount of fructose that you vegetables and fruits will not cause problems. But if you consume too much fructose, you may end up getting sick. Research has shown that fructose can cause inflammation in endothelial cells. These specific cells line up around the blood vessels. So when it is inflamed, it can increase the risk of heart disease. Eat lots of sugary foods;

Artificial Trans Fats While not all fats are bad, artificial trans fats are the least healthy you can eat. Artificial trans fats are made by mixing hydrogenated fats with unsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats are generally liquid. But once hydrogen is added, they are much more solid. When buying food labels, you may not have a list of trans fats. Instead, you should look for “partially hydrogenated oils.” For example, most of the margarine you buy will have trans fats. In fact, most processed foods will have it because it can extend their shelf life. Dairy products and meat have trans fats, but they are produced naturally and not artificially included. Therefore, they do not cause inflammation.

But artificial trans fats, of course, cause inflammation in your body and increase your risk of getting chronic disease. When you eat artificial trans fats, you will reduce the amount of good cholesterol in your body. It also increases inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein or CRP. Now, what is CRP? Well, C-reactive protein is the type found in blood plasma. As inflammation increases in your body, the circulating CRP concentration will also increase. According to one study, women who consumed the most artificial trans fats had about 78% more CRP. This indicates higher levels of inflammation among women who have received a lot of trans fat.

Vegetable and Seed Oils Compared to the previous century, the amount of vegetable oils used in the United States has increased by 130%. Some vegetable oils, such as soybean oil, may be responsible for increasing the chances of inflammation. This is because of all the omega-6 fatty acids in these oils. You need to remember that you need some omega-6 fatty acids in your body. But you should balance it with foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids. In this way it can improve the relationship between omega-6 and omega-3 and take full advantage of its anti-inflammatory properties. In one study, a group of rats was given a diet in which the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids was 20: 1.

These rats showed much higher levels of inflammatory markers compared to groups with ratios of 1: 1 or 5: 1. Given that vegetable oils are an important ingredient in most processed foods and are also used as cooking oil, it is important to balance omega-3 fatty acid-rich foods. . This ensures that it does not increase the chances of inflammation. Of course, there are foods that cause inflammation. These foods will ruin your long-term health. But what about foods that have the potential to kill you instantly? Watch and learn more about the foods that people eat that can kill them. Now back to the list of foods that cause inflammation …
